Pokemon Legends chapter 3, part 3

Later on, everyone was at the swimming pool, which was, to their amazement, about the size of the pool you see at a dolphin show.

“Wow! That pool is really big!” Richie gasped in shock and amazement.

“And the water is so perfectly warm!” Dawn exclaimed as she put her hand into the pool.

“Let's all change.” Misty said.

“Yeah.” Ash said, and about ten minutes later, everyone came out of the locker room and were in their swimsuits, most of them in their trademark ones.

“All right! Time to have some fun!” May announced, dressed in a red two-piece swimsuit with snowflakes on it.

“Yep!” Ash agreed, clad in green swim trunks.

“Oh boy!” Dawn, in a pink two-piece swimsuit, exclaimed excitedly.

“Come on!” Richie shouted while he was dressed in blue swim trunks.

“Let's go!” Angie added as she was in a green two-piece swimsuit with red lines.

“In we go!” Brock said while dressed in orange swim trunks while heading to the pool.

“Mana!” Manaphy squeaked happily as it jumped into the pool.

Most of the trainers got into the pool as well while Morty, in red swim trunks, turned towards Asuna, who was in her one-piece pink swimsuit, as he said, “Well, you know what they say, Asuna.”

“What?” Asuna asked.

“LOOK OUT BELOW!” Morty shouted as he jumped into the pool, causing a big splash, which caused the water to get a bracing Asuna soaked.

“Oh, yeah?” Asuna smirked before she cheered as she jumped into the water as well, “Yee-hah!”

Those who were in the pool got splashed from Asuna’s jump in the water, some of them bracing themselves. Then, Asuna rose up from underwater as she asked, “Like that?”

“Now you're gonna get it!” Ash said as he smirked playfully.

After May splashed Asuna, Dawn yelled as she splashed her as well, “SPLASH FIGHT!”

“Whoa!!” Lilo exclaimed while dressed in her trademark yellow-and-orange-striped one-piece swimsuit.

“Watch out!” Misty shouted with a laugh as she was dressed in a bright blue two-piece swimsuit with yellow rims (one at the bottom of the shirt, the other on the top of the swim panties) and a yellow star on the top.

“Cannonball!!” Tory yelled as he did a cannonball before splashing into the pool.

“Whoa!” Max exclaimed while getting splashed in his light green swim trunks. May laughed while being splashed by the cannonball as well.

“Hey, Molly.” Max said to the golden brown-haired girl in her bright blue one-piece swimsuit with a matching skirt, “How are you holding up?”

“Just fine, Max.” Molly replied.

“Let's go in, Rena!” Jacob shouted to Rena, dressed in red swim trunks with white rims.

“Yeah!” Rena cheered while wearing the same swimsuit she wore in Twilight Town.

“Make way!” Syrus called out as he wore blue swim trunks with white rims.

“Coming through!” Konoka yelled while wearing a light blue one-piece swimsuit.

The four jumped into the pool and then started playing around while Dawn's Piplup is having a fun time with Ash's Buizel and Misty's Azurill.

“Last one in is a rotten bird!” Sora said as he was dressed in blue swim trunks.

Kairi, in a pink-and-yellow one-piece swimsuit with a white sleeveless shirt, shouted with a smirk, “Here I come!”

“Banzai!” Naruto shouted as he ran towards the pool while in orange swim trunks.

“Yay!” Misaki, in a blue two-piece swimsuit with yellow rims and a pink heart in the center of the swim top, cheered.

“Heads up!” Matt yelled while dressed in purple swim trunks. Then the five jumped into the pool simultaneously while a couple trainers who were in the pool laughed while getting splashed.

Dawn's Piplup was having a great time, swimming like a dolphin in the pool, but then, a shiny Piplup came out of the water near Dawn's Piplup.

“Pip?” Dawn's Piplup asked in confusion and surprise.

“Piplup!” The shiny Piplup greeted.

“Hey! It's another Piplup!” Dawn exclaimed in surprise.

“You're right! But the color of it is different!” Ash said.

“Whose Piplup is this?” May asked.

“I see you guys met my Piplup.” Matt said.

“Your Piplup?!” Ash, May, Dawn, Brock, Max and Misty asked in surprise and unison.

“Yep!” Matt nodded in reply.

“That’s cool!” Max exclaimed with a smile.

“I have a Piplup, too.” Madison admitted while dressed in a bright blue one-piece swimsuit with black lines and a crown on it.

“Really?” Ash asked in interest.

“Yeah.” Madison replied before she tossed over a pokéball, “Come on out!”

The pokéball opened, and a white Piplup came out of it in midair and dove into the pool.

“Lup!” The white Piplup said happily after it came out of the surface.

“Wow! A white Piplup!” Dawn exclaimed in amazement.

“Nice.” Kairi commented.

“I agree.” Sora said.

“Why, I'll be damned!” Duncan said with a smile while shaking his head in disbelief as he was dressed in dark blue swim trunks.

“Cool!” Courtney exclaimed while dressed in a bright green one-piece swimsuit with red rims.

Just then, Misty looked in a direction of the pool and gasped before she pointed at it while saying, “Guys, look! A Starmie!”

The rest of the group, along with Madison, Matt, Sora, Kairi, Naruto, Misaki and some of their newfound friends looked at what Misty was pointing at and saw that she was right. It wasn't just any Starmie, though; it was a shiny Starmie, which made a leap from the pool and back into the water.

“Whose is that?” Ash asked in wonder.

“That's my Starmie.” Amy answered while dressed in a red two-piece swimsuit.

“Wow.” Ash said in surprise.

“Yep.” Amy nodded.

“I like that!” Max exclaimed with a smile.

“Thanks!” Amy said happily.

“I'll say!” Dawn agreed.

“I wonder who we'll meet or see again next.” Misty said. But then, as if to answer her question, a pair of hands covered her eyes, making her yell out in surprise.

“Guess who?” A female voice asked playfully, sounding just like Amy.

“Lisa?” Misty asked in surprise, recognizing the voice.

“That's right!” The voice replied as she uncovered Misty's eyes, revealing herself to be none other than Lisa, who was dressed in a red one-piece swimsuit with white rims. (A/N: Remember Lisa from Pokémon 3 the Movie?)

“Whoa!” Ash exclaimed.

“Long time no see, Ash!” Lisa greeted happily.

“Nice!” Brock said.

“Yep!” The dark blue-haired girl nodded.

“Don't forget me!” Another female voice called, getting the attention of Ash and the gang. It was a brown-haired girl in a light green two-piece swimsuit.

“Bianca?” Ash asked in surprise.

“Hi, Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock!” The girl greeted with a smile.

“Bianca! It's been a while!” Misty said happily.

“It sure has!” Bianca agreed.

“Another unexpected old friend.” Ash commented with a smirk.

“Boy, we've been meeting girls that sound just like Amy!” Molly commented.

“You said it, Molly!” Max said. Just then, flute-like music began playing. To him, it sounded exactly familiar. “That music…”

The group turned and saw a brown-haired girl in a two-piece peach swimsuit playing an ocarina.

“Melody?!” Ash, Misty and Tracey asked in shock. They haven’t seen her since their adventure in the Orange Islands.

The girl, Melody, stopped playing her ocarina as she turned to see Ash, Misty and Tracey before she said with a smile, “I see you guys heard my music.”

“We sure did.” Ash said.

“Beautiful as always.” Misty complimented.

“Why, thank you. I practiced.” Melody said proudly.

“Hmph! She's a big showoff.” A female voice said obnoxiously.

Dawn cringed at hearing the voice as she groaned, “Oh, no!”

The group turned around and saw a snobby girl named Ursula, who was wearing a one-piece violet swimsuit.

“You again!” Dawn shouted angrily on recognizing the girl.

“Yes, it's me, the girl who thinks your victory in the Wallace Cup was a fluke.” The girl said rudely.

“What?!” May yelled in a shocked and offended tone.

“A fluke?!” Molly shouted in the same tone.

“It's not a fluke!” Ash snapped angrily.

“Whatever you say.” Ursula said rudely, “Any friend of Dawn is just a fan of her flukes.” Just then, Heather, angrily, threw a beach ball at Ursula, hitting her on the head, causing her to yell out, “OWW!!”

“That'll teach you!” Heather snapped.

Then, Sasuke came into Ursula's face afterwards before he said angrily, “You're such a rude loser.”

“Hmph!” Ursula scoffed, “Sticks and stones, you emo creep.”

Upon hearing what Ursula called Sasuke, Sakura H. yelled angrily at her, “Hey! No one calls Sasuke 'emo' and gets away with it!”

“Well, I just called him that and I can get away with it, Pinky Dork.” Ursula said coldly.

“What did you just call me?!?!” Sakura H. yelled in an enraged tone.

“You heard me!” Ursula shouted.

“I wouldn't be like that if I were you.” Sasuke warned calmly.

“Why?” Ursula asked before she noticed Sakura H. charging towards her and about to pummel her, causing her to yell out in fear as she sweatdropped, “Uh-oh!” Then she got punched real hard and sent flying into a wall.

“That's why.” Sasuke said with a smirk.

“Well, guys, I think she's in a mess this time.” Heather snickered.

Gwen tried to hold back her laughter while Trent remarked in amusement, “Seriously messed up.”

Ash and his friends laughed at what happened to Ursula. That was so hilarious for them to see it!

“I'll have to admit it, Heather. You were tough when you stood up to that girl.” Gwen said with a smile.

“Thanks, Gwen.” Heather said happily.

“Nice to see you stood up to others.” Trent complimented.

“Yep. Just like how Brent did for me when he stood up to some thugs.” Heather confessed.

“Brent?” Gwen asked in confusion.

“Who's that?” Trent asked as he raised an eyebrow.

“My boyfriend.” Heather answered.

“Really?” asked Lindsay.

“Yeah. He acts just like me.” Heather replied, “Looks like you two have a major competition.”

“It's all right with us.” Trent remarked.

“As long as you two don't insult any of us.” Gwen added.

“Don't worry. We won't, because we've seen a video called "TonyLopez's Repentance", which made us realize how we've been acting.” Heather explained.

“Good.” Courtney said with a nod.

“But the mean side can help in not holding back in battle, though. Nothing more.” Duncan assumed.

“Agreed.” Heather said. That can be what she and Brent would do; use their mean acting only for Pokémon battles.

“Does this mean we can be friends again?” Lindsay asked.

“More like BFFs.” Heather said with a wink.

“Really?!” Lindsay asked excitedly.

“Sure. You, me and Beth.” Heather replied.

“That's great!” Lindsay exclaimed happily.

Nodding happily, Heather said, “Of course.”

“Looks like Heather made the right choice.” Geoff remarked.

“I'm glad.” Bridgette said happily.

Meanwhile, Owen was on the diving board, looking nervous. He said timidly, “I'm going to die now. I'm going to FREAKING die now!”

Everyone noticed this and watched in suspense and anticipation.

“Come on, Owen!” Beth cheered while dressed in a pink-and-magenta one-piece swimsuit, “You can do it!”

“Come on, big guy.” LeShawna encouraged while in her grey one-piece swimsuit.

“Don't quit!” Harold shouted as he was dressed in brown green swim trunks.

“What’s going on?” Lilo asked in concern.

“He's gonna jump off the diving board!” Duncan said.

“And I think he'll make a very big splash like last time!” cried Courtney.

“Yikes!” Li exclaimed.

“Talk about a major burst of nervous in him!” Sakura A. commented.

“You said it!” Meilin agreed.

“Big splash?!” Jacob asked in shock.

“Yep!” Trent replied.

“Oh… my… gosh!” Rena said in shock, putting emphasis on each word.

Then, Owen jumped off the board and looked down, before he said nervously, “Oh, not again!” And then he began screaming as he fell towards the pool.

“Oh, no!” Misaki cried.

“Heads up!” Matt shouted.

“Brace yourselves, it's gonna be a total wipeout!!” Trent yelled.

“Oh, this is gonna be fun.” Gwen remarked, and then, Owen splashed into the pool, causing a huge wave to occur.

“Whoooaa!!!” Lilo screamed as she was riding the wave along with other screaming trainers that were in the pool. After the wave subsided, Negi and Chiyo were seen hanging on some ceiling lights.

“Is this supposed to be happening?!” The British redhead asked in shock.

“I don't even know!” Chiyo said.

“Yikes.” Duncan said with his eyes widened in surprise while soaking wet.

“Uh-oh.” Courtney spoke in amazement.

“He did it again!” Heather exclaimed in shock.

“Yeah!” Lindsay said in the same time.

Emerging from the water, Owen began cheering, “Yes! I made it! Aw, yeah! Who's the man?”

“Nice!” Jacob exclaimed as he used his powers to get the trainers hanging onto the ceiling down to the ground.

“That was awesome!” Rena cheered.

“I agree! What a splash!” Dawn laughed.

“That was as great as the last time!” Bridgette remarked.

“Yeah!” Geoff agreed.

“Happy!” Manaphy squeaked cutely as he got on May while hugging her.

“Did you enjoy that splash, Manaphy?” May asked.

“Mana!” The blue pokémon nodded in reply.

“Nice move, dude!” Trent exclaimed to Owen, but then, he noticed the fat boy looking around in concern as he asked, “Huh? What's wrong?”

“I think I got a water wedgie.” Owen said a bit painfully.

“Oooh!” Ash cringed.

“That’s gotta hurt.” Sora remarked.

“You said it!” Kairi agreed.

“Oh, I don't see that!” Lindsay said.

“I hear ya!” Gwen spoke.

“Sick!” Trent commented.

“Painful, too, man.” Harold added.

“That smarts!” Courtney exclaimed.

“Yeah!” Duncan agreed.

Later, after they all finished using the pool, everyone changed back to their normal outfits and are at the dining room afterwards. Emperor Hydron and Princess Kairos were not amused.

“Unbelievable!” Kairos scoffed.

“Well, there IS a meeting there.” Hydron reminded.

“That's true.” The evil princess said.

While it happens, Spectra and Zero confront each other as the Vexos glare on.

“Zero.” Spectra growled.

“Spectra, A.K.A. my former friend, Keith Clay.” Zero hissed.

“Looks like this tournament is perfect for us to settle things.”

“Indeed it is.”

Ash watched this and glared at Zero, unknown to the latter. The former demanded, “How did you escape, Zero?”

“The Vexos gave me an offer to get my revenge on you if I join them while escaping, and I willingly accepted.” Zero explained, “And now I am here to dispose of you and your friends once and for all!”

“Well, Ash, looks like we have a common enemy.” Dan remarked.

“Yeah.” Ash agreed. Suddenly, Rena has a painful feeling in her head and then collapsed on the floor, much to everyone’s surprise.

“What the--?! Rena!” Jacob cried.

“Is she okay?” May asked in concern.

“Come on, Rena! Wake up!” Shugo shouted as he shook Rena a bit.

“She's just passed out.” Yakumo said, “We'll delay the meeting until she wakes up.”

Meanwhile, while Rena was sleeping, her subconscious self fell onto a platform in a mysterious area. Then she stood up before she looked around as she asked out loud, “Where am I? What happened?” After almost a minute, she looked down at the platform she stood on and gasped in surprise before she exclaimed, “Hey, that looks like me!” She looked around the platform a little more and saw a few familiar faces. “I also see Jacob, Shugo, Sora, Kairi, Dan and Runo!”

“That is correct.” A voice said.

“Who said that?” Rena asked. Then, a figure appeared in front of her by fading in. The figure was an Egyptian man with dark skin wearing white and beige robes, and a white turban. Seeing the man, Rena asked him, “Who are you?”

“Shadi, as I am known.” The man introduced, “I brought you here through Sora's Keyblade, Sir Aaron's staff, which now belongs to Ash Ketchum, and Yugi's Millennium Puzzle.”

“But why?” asked Rena.

“For you to look inside your heart.” Shadi replied in a wise tone.

“My heart?”

“Yes, it grows with each new experience. And it's found a home with the friends you made. You became a part of their hearts just as they became a part of yours. And if they think of you now and then, if they don't forget you, then your hearts will be one.”

“Oh.” Rena said, slowly starting to get it.

“You are, in fact, a special person, Rena Kunisaki.” Shadi informed the girl, “I know, because I'm the servant of Jacob's family and the Pharaoh Atem. The events occurring recently seem to be related to Jacob and Hydron's war and the Twilight King Jacob was destined to become.”

“Hmm?” Rena asked.

“That war was not straightforward, nor was it orchestrated by Emperor Hydron and Princess Kairos.” Shadi informed, “It is something that was contrived by King Zenoheld.”

“What does that mean, exactly? And how do you know so much about it?” Rena wondered.

“Because Jacob is chosen to be Twilight King and I learned from his father's ghost that King Zenoheld is the enemy of you, Jacob, his friends and his people.”

“Rena… There are times when a special event like this tournament you, Jacob and your brother, Shugo, are in now…” Shadi started.

“Huh?”

“…involves a very serious incident.” The Egyptian man finished.

“A very serious incident?” Rena asked in concern.

“Yes.” Shadi nodded in reply. He then said as he disappeared, “You'll know that soon enough.”

Then, a light went over Rena. Soon after, back at the dining room, Rena woke up with a gasp.

“Rena!” Jacob exclaimed.

“Geez, Rena. It felt like you got hit by a truck.” Dan remarked.

“Yeah. You had us worried sick.” Runo said.

“Sorry, guys.” Rena apologized.

“It’s okay, sis.” Shugo said.

“Something must've happened to you all of a sudden.” Sora assumed.

“It did, all right.” Rena nodded in reply, “While I passed out, I somehow found myself on a huge platform with pictures of me, you, Kairi, Jacob, Shugo, Dan and Runo.”

“What happened next?” asked Kairi.

“Then I met a man named Shadi.” Shugo’s sister informed.

“Shadi?” Yami Yugi asked in shock, overhearing Rena.

“You know him?” Rena asked the King of Games.

“Yes, he was a tomb guardian of the Millennium Items.” Yami Yugi explained.

“Wow!” Rena exclaimed in amazement.

“What did he tell you?” Yami Yugi asked.

“He said that Jacob is chosen to be Twilight King, and that a special event like this tournament we're all in involves a very serious incident.” Rena explained.

“Yikes.” T.K. said in surprise.

“What incident?” Kari asked in concern.

“I don't know, cause all he said was that I'll know soon enough.” Rena replied.

“How'd you get to that platform anyway?” Jacob asked in wonder.

“He brought me there through Sora's Keyblade, Sir Aaron's staff, and Yugi's Millennium Puzzle.” Rena said.

“Huh?!” Sora asked in shock.

“No way!” Ash exclaimed.

“Impossible!” Yami Yugi shouted.

“What for?” Jacob asked.

“For me to look inside my heart, which grows with each new experience, finding a home with all the friends I made.” Rena explained, “I became a part of your hearts just as you became a part of mine. If you think of me now and then, if you don't forget me, our hearts will be as one.”

“Heh. Exactly as I said it when I fought you once, huh, Riku?” Sora asked his silver-haired friend.

“Yeah.” Riku replied.

“Quite interesting.” Jacob said as he raised an eyebrow while rubbing his chin.

“Tell me about it.” Rena agreed.

“Did he say it's related to my war with Hydron?”

“Yes, he did.”

“Sounds like Hydron will stop at nothing to win the war.” Dan said.

“No doubt about it.” Runo said while shaking her head.

“Yeah.” Ash agreed.

“Those Vexos guys are gonna be tough to beat.” May remarked. Just then, Sid popped up and got next to her with a smirk, making her sweatdrop.

“Don't you worry. They will be beaten as long as you have me.” The fat boy said while flirting with May, who got really uncomfortable as the former grinned.

Luckily for the brown-haired girl, a familiar Blader got between them and glared at Sid with the same glare Sakura H. does as he shouted, “I'm warning you, tubby! Stay away from her!”

“YIKES!!” Sid yelped, scared of Kai's temper, personality and icy glare before he zipped away.

“Uh… thanks.” May said to Kai while blushing at what he did.

“No problem, beautiful.” Kai said with a flirting smirk, causing May to blush some more from what he called her.

“I think May's got a boyfriend.” Max teased.

Hearing that, May’s face became as red as a tomato, blushing in embarrassment before she shouted, “Knock it off, Max!”

“Sorry.” Max apologized.

“So, we meet again, Ash.” A slightly gruff voice said.

Ash, Dawn and Brock turned to the source of the voice, and upon seeing it, they exclaimed in surprise, “Kaiba!”

“You know him?” May asked.

“Yeah, we do.” Ash replied.

"The last time we saw him was that he had a pokémon battle with Paul, and his pokémon were incredibly more powerful than his!" Dawn explained, "He beat him without losing one, just like what Brandon the Pyramid King did!"

“To him, it was payback for what Paul did to me, despite that Paul didn't deserve it at that time.” Ash remarked.

“Wow!” May exclaimed in amazement.

“Seto Kaiba, right?” Dan asked the man in question.

“That's my name.” Kaiba replied.

“We were told by Spectra that you have info about the Vexos, who all came here with their own pokémon.” Dan informed.

“Yeah. So, got anything about the pokémon that the Vexos have?” Runo asked.

Knowing what Dan and Runo meant, Kaiba asked seriously, “First things first: You remember Zero's obsession with Giratina?”

“Yeah.” Ash replied, “Why?”

“He no longer needs it, because thanks to Emperor Hydron, he's got a new and dangerous pokémon that is just like it.”

“Whoa!” Ash exclaimed.

“Is it from a new region?” Brock asked.

“No, this new pokémon is a splice.” Kaiba replied.

“A splice?” Misty asked in confusion.

“Like an abomination?” Brock suggested.

“You could say that.” Kaiba said, “What Zero got is a fusion of Giratina and Groudon.”

“A fusion of what?!” Ash yelled in shock.

“That's impossible!” Molly cried.

“Nothing is impossible, kid. The Vexos have actually made an incredible experiment about Pokémon splices.”

“Unbelievable!” Tracey exclaimed.

“Unbelievable, yes, but it's also very dangerous.” Gary said in a serious tone, “Think about what would happen if Zero would conquer the world with a dangerous pokémon creature like that!”

“I'm scared.” Madison shuddered fearfully.

“Don't worry, Madison.” Shun comforted his girlfriend, “We're all together, and so will our pokémon when we go up against him.”

“And all of the Vexos, for that matter.” Dan added.

“It's true, Dan. And my spies will give me all the info of the Vexos' plans soon enough.” Spectra said.

“Sure hope so.” Dan said.

“Who ARE those spies, Spectra?” Runo asked in curiosity.

“You'll see.” Spectra replied with a smirk.

“Nice.” Dan said with a smile, “If those spies were someone who infiltrated the Vexos like Gus did, boy, would that be something.”

“I agree.” Ace said.

“Wish Maker. The star.” A girl’s voice echoed.

Max gasped on hearing it, recognizing it as he exclaimed, “That voice!”

“Could it be…?” May asked as she heard the voice as well.

“I heard it, too.” Ash said.

“Me too.” Brock said.

“Who's that?” Dawn asked, apparently being able to hear it, too.

“That sounds a lot like... Jirachi!” Max exclaimed, saying ‘Jirachi’ in a shocked and excited tone.

“That is correct, Max.” Ash and the group turned towards the source of the voice and saw a familiar owner of Master Mansion, “In fact, I have a surprise for you.”

“Really?” Max asked.

“Mm-hmm.” Yakumo nodded in reply, “In fact, make that seven surprises.”

“What are they?”

“Take a look.”

Max had a confused look on his face. He didn’t see what Yakumo was talking about at first, but then, suddenly, seven familiar pokémon came out from behind Yakumo, got to the boy and hugged him happily. They are a Ralts, a Shroomish, a Mightyena, a Shuppet, a Cleffa, a Poliwag and…

“Max!!” A familiar star-like pokémon exclaimed happily in the same voice that was heard before.

“Jirachi!!!” Max yelled excitedly as he joyfully hugged his best friend.

“I can't believe it! Jirachi's back?!” May yelled in shock and joy.

“Wow!” Ash exclaimed.

“Yes.” Yakumo nodded.

“I can't believe you're here, Jirachi!” Max said to Jirachi happily, “And with all these other pokémon I befriended before while I used Poliwag in that school!”

“That's right, and do you remember that you wanted to be a pokémon trainer?” Yakumo asked.

“Yeah?” The black-haired boy with glasses replied in a confused tone.

“Well, I'm having you become one now, and these are your pokémon!”

Hearing this got Max really excited and shocked. He always wanted to be a pokémon trainer, and now he’s going to be one today! He asked Lady Yakumo excitedly, “Really?!”

With a nod, Yakumo replied, “Yeah!”

“Oh boy!!” The boy with glasses cheered wildly as he and Jirachi danced together just like when the former skipped a stone farther than Ash did long ago.

“Nice one!” Brock complimented.

“Mom and Dad would be so happy!” May said joyfully.

“I believe we already are.” Norman said, overhearing what was going on.

“Oh, Max, I'm so proud of you!” Caroline congratulated her son.

Max laughed as he blushed a bit while he said, “Aw, shucks! Thanks, Mom!”

“You're very welcome, son.” Caroline said.

“Happy! Mana!” Manaphy squeaked happily.

Hearing that, Jirachi noticed him as she said in surprise while smiling, “Wow, May! I didn't know you had a best friend, too.”

“This is Manaphy.” May introduced the cute blue pokémon, “He thinks of me like I'm his mother!”

“Mana!” said Manaphy.

“That's really sweet!” Jirachi said happily.

“She is one lucky sister having a pokémon love her a lot.” May’s little brother complimented her.

“Hey, I have an idea!” Jirachi spoke, “If you and Max are siblings, then I would love it if Manaphy would be like a brother to me.”

“Great idea!” Max exclaimed.

“Yeah!” May agreed before she said to her very best friend, “Do you agree, Manaphy?”

“Phy!” Manaphy nodded happily.

Jirachi floated up to the blue pokémon before she asked, “Can you say 'Sister'?”

“Sister!” Manaphy repeated, causing May to giggle at that.

“Ash! Dane! Brock!” A female voice called.

“Is that…?” Ash started in surprise while recognizing the voice. He and his friends (Dawn being called 'Dane') turned around and saw none other than two familiar trainers from Johto.

“Lyra!” Dawn exclaimed with a smile.

“Khoury!” Ash cried.

“It's been a long time!” Lyra remarked.

“Of course!” Brock agreed.

“You know those two?” Misty asked.

“Guys, this is Lyra and Khoury.” Ash introduced his friends to the two newcomers, “They're from Johto.”

Upon hearing where they’re from, May gasped in shock before asking in that same tone, “Johto?! Really?!”

“Yep!” Lyra replied proudly.

“We got here because we were invited to Master Mansion.” Khoury explained.

“So were we!” Ash said in surprise.

“That's awesome!” Lyra grinned. What a coincidence!

“That means we can all be participating together!” Khoury said excitedly.

“Cool!” Dawn exclaimed. The more friends, old and new, she and her friends meet, the more exciting the pokémon tournament and contests will become!

Upon noticing May, Max, Misty, Tracey and some others, the brown-haired girl from Johto said, “Hey, I didn't know you have other friends participating, too.”

“Well, they are.” Ash smirked.

“It's very nice to meet you.” Khoury greeted the rest of Ash’s friends, “What are your names?”

“Hello, Lyra and Khoury.” May greeted, “I'm May. And this is Manaphy.” As she said it last, she indicated the blue pokémon in her arms.

“Mana!” Manaphy said happily.

“Aww! He looks so cute!” Lyra cooed.

“I'm May's little brother Max.” Max introduced himself.

“I’m Jirachi!” The star pokémon waved.

“I'm Richie, and this is my Pikachu, Sparky.” The Ash lookalike said as he introduced himself and his pikachu.

“Pikachu!” Sparky greeted happily.

“I'm Gary Oak, grandson of Prof. Oak, and former rival now friend to Ash.” Gary said politely.

“I'm Tracey, Pokémon Watcher.” Tracey said as he stepped forward a bit.

“I'm Misty, lover of water pokémon.” Misty greeted with a wink.

“I'm Angie, and I'm training to be a pokémon master, just like Ash!” Angie said in a confident tone.

“Yep!” Ash agreed.

“I'm Todd Snap, Pokémon Photo Master.” Todd said with a smile.

“I'm Molly, Ash's childhood friend.” Molly said as she curtsied.

“My name's Tory, and these two are my friends; Plusle and Minun.” The light-blue haired boy introduced himself and his two buddies.

“Plu, Plu!” Plusle greeted.

“Min, Min!” Minun greeted.

“I'm Barry, Ash's rival.” Barry greeted as he bowed politely before the two Johto trainers.

“I'm Zoey, Dawn's rival.” Zoey introduced herself.

“Nice to meet you all.” Lyra said happily.

“Yep.” May agreed.

Unknown to Ash and all his friends, a girl was watching them. The girl was thirteen years old and she had blue eyes and long blond hair in a ponytail wrapped by a green bowtie. Along with the bowtie, she wore a black-sleeved red dress that reached down to her legs and red shoes that reach up to her knees with robot ankle things on the bottom of the left/right side of the shoes' heels.

“What nice people.” The girl sighed happily.

“There you are, Roll!” a voice exclaimed, startling her.

The girl, known as Roll Light, turned around and saw a human-looking robot with blue eyes and brown hair. He wore a blue helmet, a light blue bodysuit, dark blue briefs, matching gloves with a buster at one glove, and blue boots.

“Megaman!” The girl cried, “You startled me!”

The blue-clad robot boy, now known as Megaman, Roll’s older brother, said, “Sorry. I was looking for you. You ran off without informing me.”

“Sorry about that.” Roll apologized.

“No problem.” Megaman accepted his sister’s apology, “So, where'd you go?”

“I had to come to the dining hall.” Roll explained.

“Oh.” The robot boy said on realizing why Roll wandered off, “Sorry about that.”

“It’s okay.” The blond-haired robot girl said.

“It's good that Dr. Light got us invites.” Megaman remarked.

“I agree.” Roll nodded before she sighed as she said, “I wish Pikan was here.”

“Me too.” Megaman agreed.

“What do you mean?” says a voice, “I'm over here.”

Hearing it caused Megaman and Roll to turn to the source of the voice; a fourteen-year-old Pikachu hair-colored boy (yellow with black streaks on both ends) with dark brown eyes. He wore a Pikachu-colored shirt with brown stripes coming from the back, red spots on the shoulders and brown rims on the sleeves and collar, green fingerless gloves, blue jeans, and white sneakers with black soles.

“Pikan!” Roll exclaimed happily.

“Hey, Roll.” The boy, Pikan, Roll’s boyfriend, greeted. The next thing he knew, he was hugged happily by his girlfriend.

“I'm so glad to see you again!” The red-clad girl said excitedly.

Pikan hugged Roll back as he said, “I'm glad to see you again, too, Roll. You and Megaman.”

“How'd you get here?” Megaman asked in surprise.

“I was invited here along with my family.” Pikan replied simply.

“So cool!” Roll exclaimed.

“Yep!” Just then, the pikachu-like robot boy realized something as he said, “Oh! I almost forgot!”

“What is it?” Megaman’s sister asked. Then, what happened to her was the most unexpected thing……… getting a kiss on the lips from Pikan. Feeling that, she blushed from the kiss while she said, “Wow…”

“Sometime late, but I DID keep my promise to you, Roll.” Pikan said.

“Oh, Pikan… Thank you.” The girl said with a warm smile.

“You’re welcome.”

“I still remembered when you saved me from Air Man... pretending to be Metal Man.” Roll recalled that day like it was only yesterday.

“I know. It was then I achieved my first power; Metal Blade.” Pikan said, starting with the details.

“After that, Dr. Light saw how much potential you have and gave you a Mega armor, just like me.” Megaman added.

“Yep.” Pikan agreed, “Along with some other powers, like Elec Man's powers.”

“Cool!” Roll exclaimed in surprise.

“Who else's power did you get?” Megaman asked.

“I also got Air Shooter, Shadow Blade, Water Wave, Super Arm, Ice Slasher, Flame Blast, Silver Tomahawk, Top Spin, Hyper Bomb, Pharaoh Shot and Pharaoh Wave.” Pikan informed, counting the weapons with his fingers as he mentioned them.

“Hooray!” Roll cheered.

“So, I guess Dr. Light made use of the data from his Robot Masters and those of Wily's and Cossack's.” Megaman assumed.

“He sure did.” Pikan said proudly.

“Along with the robots Wily brainwashed as Mr. X.” Roll added.

“Yep. Them, too.” Pikan said.

“Nice.” Megaman commented. Just then, three girls and a boy genius got up to him, Roll and Pikan.

The first girl was seven years old, and she had pink eyes and red hair. She wore a pink dress that had a black stripe going around the middle, along with a red bow on her head and she also wore white socks and black ballet shoes. She was Blossom of the Powerpuff Girls.

The second girl had the same attire as Blossom, except that the blond girl with pigtails wore a blue dress and had blue eyes. Her name was Bubbles.

The third girl's attire, unlike Blossom and Bubbles's attires, was green and she had green eyes and black hair.

The boy, nine years old, had red hair and he wore glasses along with a white lab coat, purple gloves, black pants and black boots. He was Blossom's boyfriend, Dexter, Boy Genius.

“Hey, guys!” Blossom greeted.

“Blossom! Bubbles! Buttercup!” Roll exclaimed in surprise.

Feeling the same way as Roll, Megaman shouted, “Dexter!”

“It's been a long time, hasn't it, Megaman?” Dexter asked in his trademark funny accent.

“It sure has!” The blue boy agreed.

“It's so good to see you three!” Roll said to the Powerpuff Girls as she hugged them happily.

“It's so good to see you, too, Roll!” Blossom said.

“How long has it been since we've been together as a team?” Megaman’s sister asked.

“Well, it's been six months since we defeated Emperor Hydron, Dr. Wily, Dr. Robotnik, Mandark, Mojo Jojo and Maleficent, along with the Vexos, Pete and Wily's robots.” The pink-clad girl said.

“Yep.” Buttercup agreed.

“Hey! The Sonic Heroes! The Bakugan Brawlers! And the Kingdom Hearts gang!” Roll exclaimed as she noticed the three familiar groups near the table.

Looking at the direction Roll was glancing at, Pikan, Megaman, the PPGs and Dexter turned and saw that the red-clad girl was right as the pikachu-like boy said, “Hey! You're right! And one of my sisters is with them!”

“Hey, everyone!” Blossom called to the Sonic Heroes, Bakugan Brawlers and KH gang.

The three groups turned towards the girl calling at them and looked surprised on seeing her, her sisters, Dexter, Megaman, Roll and Pikan.

“Powerpuff Girls!” The Sonic Heroes exclaimed in unison.

“Dexter!” The Bakugan Brawlers shouted.

“Megaman, Roll and Pikan!” Sora and his friends cried.

“How are you guys?” Roll asked the three groups as she, Megaman, Pikan, the PPGs and Dexter walked up to them.

“We're all doing fine, Roll!” Donald replied happily.

“Yo, Megaman! What it is?” Dan asked with a grin as he and Megaman high fived each other.

“Not so much, Dan-o!” Megaman replied.

“I'm so happy you're here, guys!” Cream said as she joyfully hugged Roll and Cream.

Roll giggled before Bubbles said happily, “Thanks, Cream!”

“Buttercup, good to see ya again, girl!” Shun said with a smirk.

As she and the green-clad Bakugan Brawler knocked each other’s fists, Buttercup greeted as “Wassup, Shun-man?”

“Long time no see, Roll!” Runo grinned as she roughened up Roll’s hair.

Giggling from what Runo did, the red-clad girl said, “It sure has been long, Runo!”

“I take it you guys got invited here and been given pokémon, too?” Shadow asked with a smirk.

“You got that right, Shadow!” Dexter replied with a wink.

“Wow, Marucho. You haven't changed a bit, not even after we defeated our enemies.” Tails said as he shook hands with the little Aquos Bakugan Brawler.

“Neither have you, Tails.” Marucho said with a smile.

“You two are such geniuses, I barely noticed a change in either of you two.” Cosmo complimented with a giggle. Tails blushed at that while turning his head to his girlfriend.

Same old Tails and Cosmo, Marucho thought in amusement.

“So, how are the Power Pack?” Megaman asked.

“They're doing just fine.” Tails replied after recovering from his blushing.

“And how's Megaman Zero, or Z?” Dan asked.

“He's doing great.” Roll replied.

“Back in his own area or something?” Runo asked.

“Yeah, but he'll come to us anytime.” Pikan replied.

“Cool.” Dan said.

“That's good news.” Runo remarked.

“Shall we go play or something?” Cream asked Bubbles and Roll.

“Sure!” Roll replied.

“We'd love to!” Bubbles said. Then, the three giggled happily as they played with each other.

A few minutes later, Yakumo stood at the very end of the table and spoke loudly and clearly, “Attention, everyone!” All the trainers in the dining hall turned towards the woman at the end and paid really close attention to her as she announced, “The tournament begins tomorrow. The first match shall be Ash Ketchum vs. Jesse Andersen.”

“Huh?!” Dan asked in outrage.

“Why can't Dan be Ash's first opponent?!” Runo demanded, feeling the same as her boyfriend.

“It's not your choice for the battles.” Lady Yakumo said, “It's my choice. Besides, I chose Jesse as his opponent because Pikachu and Lucario must face Jesse's pokémon. All right?”

“Well, if you say so…” Dan sighed in defeat.

“I am deeply sorry about that.” Yakumo apologized.

“No problem.” Dan said, “I mean, on the bright side, I could face him later on in the tournament.”

“Good.” The owner of Master Mansion nodded, “Best have some peace before tomorrow. Train if you wish to. That is all.”

Everyone nodded and enjoyed the rest of their day. Tomorrow, the tournament will begin and things will change forever. Ash and Jesse looked at each other with confident looks on their faces. They are so excited, they could not wait to face off against each other. This could be the start of making new rivalries for Ash.
